SETTING A NEW INDUSTRY STANDARD

Inspired by the conversations and impact made at the most recent Texture VS Race Summit (Nov '22), the TVR Town Hall is an equity and inclusion conference for beauty industry professionals. This two-day conference will consist of speakers, power panels, open mic Q&As, and breakout sessions with a focus to advance the beauty industry into an intentionally inclusive and equitable space.

All arms of the beauty industry are being called on to attend. Stylists, marketers, cosmetology schools, instructors, students, influencers, educators,  managers, brand owners, salon owners, and beyond... Will you be in the room?

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

Hosted by Keya Neal, industry leaders/influencers, and DEI consultants to give perspective from various corners of the industry.

POWER PANELS

Niche panels that allows attendees to gain insight of the professional and lived experiences of BIPOC within the beauty industry.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS

Sessions that encourage active listening, thoughtful sharing, and safe communication. will also participate in anti-racism education from social justice leaders.

OPEN MIC Q&A

Facilitated conversation held in a space where it is safe to ask hard questions in regards to race and bias for the sake of betterment and learning.

Day one will set the Town Hall's tone and expectations for the weekend.

2 DAY TICKET

May 22 - 23

Attendees will engage in the training segment of the event, curated for the crowd based on Day One activities and conversation.

Day Two activities will focus on self-reflection, addressing one's own biases, and creating an actionable plan towards inclusive.

KEYA NEAL

Host & Keynote Speaker

Keya Neal is a former stylist of 28 years turned color educator, speaker, and equity, justice, & liberation consultant who’s breaking the textural and racial boundaries segregating the pro hair industry. She is the founder of the Kolour Kulture and Texture VS Race, both focused on teaching stylists how to identify and work with hair of all textures. Additionally, Keya’s REPAIRations program partners with industry educators, influencers, and brands to provide underserved stylists with equitable education. Keya strives to provide Black stylists with equitable education, while championing diversity and inclusion behind the chair and behind the scenes of the salon industry.

CANCELLATION/CHANGE/EXCHANGE POLICY

CANCELLATION POLICY

Payment is non-refundable, but can be transferred to future Texture VS Race. Transfer must done before April 22.

PAYMENT PLAN CANCELLATION OR INSUFFICIENT FUNDS

If payment plant goes into default, the remaining balance will be due in full if not paid within 7 days. No refund of previous payment.

CHANGES TO YOUR TICKET

If you need to make changes to your payment plan, name change, email or ticket holder information please email eugene@kolourkulture.com All changes to your tickets must be made by April 22nd.

TICKET EXCHANGES

If you cannot make the event and you wish to sell your ticket privately you may do so. Submit changes to eugene@kolourkulture.com by April 22nd, 2023.
