About the event
Inspired by the conversations and impact made at the most recent Texture VS Race Summit (Nov '22), the TVR Town Hall seeks to explore our industry's social influence and the influence of our biases.
Day one of TVR Town Hall will focus on personal development, with an emphasis on keynote speakers, workshops, and panelists.
Day two will consist of the Town Hall portion, where we’ll host discussion and open-mic sessions as we create space for consensus, transparency, and understanding. It may get uncomfortable, but discomfort is how we grow!
As our culture evolves, so must the industry. We must be aware of harmful narratives within the beauty industry, our roles in perpetuating them, and be mindful of how our actions can "other" entire communities of people.
Our goal is to spark conversation on how our industry can move towards a more inclusive 2023.
Join us for keynote presentations, breakout activity sessions, Q&A open mics, and panels powered by professionals from a variety of backgrounds to discuss how to be actively inclusive as our society rapidly diversifies.
Together we can destroy ignorance with knowledge and promote thought. To engage in mature and intellectual conversation. By creating a space void of judgment and punishment, we will facilitate conversation to find common ground and gain understanding of those unlike ourselves.
