Updated: Nov 29, 2018

Hello Kolour Kulture family! Welcome to the Kolour Kulture blog! This is where we will update you on the latest happenings with the Kolour Kommunity along with our thoughts on what's going on in the industry! We're so glad to have you join us on our first post! If you missed our beloved founder Keya, she joined Hairbrained on a Facebook live this past Monday, November 26th, for their 301st installment of "Hairbrained Live" where she did a demonstration on coloring textured hair, while she spoke about the current state of inclusion in the hair industry. She spoke about the lack of knowledge stylists have pertaining to hair unlike their own and how it hurts the stylist's wallet at the end of the day. Take a look at Keya's finished color masterpiece below, and watch the live HERE to join in on the texture diversity conversation that was had.

If you're not familiar with Hairbrained, they are the world's leading digital and social based community for #crafthairdressers and colorists. They are a no-cost space for artists, craftsmen, and educators in the hair industry to come together to create, inspire and share.

Not only did Keya create this BEAUTIFUL copper color melt, she also talked about our mission here at Kolour Kulture, which is committed to boost the diversity and skillet of stylists. According to Keya, the lack of knowledge among many stylists, especially when it comes to servicing clients with textures different from their own, can really hurt the stylist's wallet at the end of the day.
